AutoMates
Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
At AutoMates, confidentiality is at the heart of what we do. This policy explains what data we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data?
AutoMates (Dan Dachy, business being set up). For any question: contact@yourautomates.com. See also our legal notice.
What data do we collect?
- Through the audit request form: your name, email address, profession, preference (on site or video call) and, if you wish, a short message.
- When you email us: your email address and the content of your message.
- Technical data: as with any website, our hosting provider automatically logs some connection data (IP address, date, page visited, browser) to keep the site secure and working.
We do not ask for any sensitive data through this website. Please do not include any in the form.
Why, and on what basis?
- To answer your request and organise the free audit: this is necessary to follow up on your request before any contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure: this is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data to send you advertising, and we never sell or rent it.
Who receives your data?
Only the AutoMates team. To run the website, we use a few technical providers who act on our behalf and on our instructions: the hosting provider, the service that delivers form messages, and our email provider.
Some of these providers may be based outside the European Union. In that case, the transfer is covered by the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long do we keep it?
- Requests with no follow-up: 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
- If you become a client: for the duration of our work together, then for as long as our legal obligations require, including accounting and tax rules.
- Technical connection data: according to our hosting provider's retention period, usually a few weeks.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies or any advertising tracking. Fonts are served from our own server: your browser does not contact any third-party service such as Google Fonts.
Data you entrust to us during a project
During an audit or a project, we may have access to documents containing personal data, such as patient or client data. We process it only on your behalf, as a processor within the meaning of Article 28 GDPR, under a written agreement. Our tools are designed to run locally, on your own devices: your documents are not sent to online AI services.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a reusable format. Email us at contact@yourautomates.com: we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, contact@apd-gba.be, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Security
This website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to your data is limited to the people who need it to handle your request.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
